Betty Irene Mosier Tuttle, 76

Betty Irene Mosier Tuttle, 76, of Monroeton, formerly of Durell and Rome, went to be with her Lord early Tuesday morning, Oct. 30, 2012 at the Sayre House, Sayre with her children by her side after an extended illness.
Betty was born Dec. 9, 1935 in Towanda the daughter of Charles and Nellie Vanderpool Mosier of Durell. Betty married Allen Walter Tuttle on December 14, 1951 and resided in Durell where they raised seven children. She assisted her husband in the operation of their business Tuttle's Gun Shop in Durell for 15 years until their retirement. Betty was caregiver for her paralyzed husband for over 25 years, with the help of her aides. She also provided care for her mother and sisters with long term illnesses. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all she met. She loved her family and gave her all to take care of them. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Charles Tuttle and his wife Bette of Towanda, Vickie Curtis and her special friend, Rick Pierce of Towanda, Sandra Harris and her husband Donald of Towanda, Cathy Bennett and her husband, James of Monroeton, Jack Tuttle of Monroeton and his special friend Diane Shedden of Granville Summit, Randy Tuttle and his wife, Pam of Ulster, Judy Page and her husband, Joseph of Breesport, N.Y.; grandchildren Nicole, Charlie, Tim, Katie, Jolene, Deanna, Stacy, Jackie II.,Toby, Tanya, Jimmy, Jeremy, Scott, Danny, Tiffany, Brittany and Joey; 32 great grandchildren; her sister, Donna Hoiaas of Monroeton; and with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Allen Walter Tuttle on Feb. 20, 2009, beloved sisters, Barbara Bennett, Mary Jane Dickerson, Shirley Robare and Janet Hawley, brothers-in-law, Almond Bennett and Harold Hoiaas. The family extends their deepest appreciation to Ashley Packard and all the aides who provided care for Betty.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, with Pastor Sandy Brant officiating.
Interment will follow in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
