Charles Walter Price, 26, of Dushore, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at home with his loving family at his side.
Chip was born in Danville on May 11, 1986 a son of Charles R. Price and Jacqueline Showers. He attended Benton High School and married the former Charity D. Romano of Dushore on June 19, 2010. He worked for Woodrig's Nursery in Benton until his illness made him unable to work. He was a member of St. Basil's Church, Dushore. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a bull rider in rodeos in different states and he also enjoyed racing tough trucks.
Surviving: spouse, Charity; a son Layne C Price and daughter Juliana C. Price both at home.; parents Charles R. (Lisa) Price of Millville, and Jacqueline J. Showers (fiancée Rodney Lee Yost) of Stillwater; brother Joshua D. Price of Pittston; sister Christa Jo Price of Bloomsburg; maternal grandmother Lorena M. Showers; paternal grandmother, Dorothy M. Price of Benton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Transferal Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA 18614, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Basil's Church, Dushore with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Overton. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Homer Funeral Home.
