LaVerne E. "Vernie" Vanderpool, 45, of Ulster, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 8, 2012 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Memorial Hospital, North Towanda Twp. "Vernie" as he was known by his family and friends was born Sept. 14, 1966 in Sayre, the son of LaVerne R. and Linda Yates Vanderpool. He was a graduate of Towanda Area High School and was formerly employed by Lehto Manufacturing in Wysox and Proctor & Gamble in Mehoopany. Vernie enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and four wheeling.
Surviving are his daughter, Nikki; parents LaVerne R. and Linda Vanderpool of Towanda; brothers Todd Vanderpool and wife Amanda of Warren Center and Richard Vanderpool of Towanda; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his companion, Elizabeth Benjamin of Towanda.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Veronica.
Abiding with LaVerne's request, there will be no funeral service or calling hours. Interment will be private. The Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home of Towanda is assisting the Vanderpool Family with arrangements.
