Lana M. Allphin, age 61, of Troy, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. Lana was born Dec. 26, 1950 in Troy, a daughter of Donald Parsons and Marilyn (Baxter) Harris. She was the widow of the late William Allphin. Lana was employed as an LPN at Robert Packer Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her children.
Lana is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bret and Danielle Allphin of Marietta, Ohio; a daughter, Lacey (Ben Hulslander) Connell of Troy; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Gary Burroughs of Leesburg, Va. and Barbara and Mike Yanchuk of Troy; a special sister-in-law, Bonnie Donnelly of Marietta, Ohio; and a mother-in-law, Kathleen Gray of Marietta, Ohio. She was predeceased by her husband, William in 1995 and a brother-in-law, Russell in 2006.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Lana's memory may be made to the Troy Community Hospital, Elmira St., Troy, PA 16947. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, is assisting the family. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com.
