Anna E. Crain, 92, of Bumpville Rd., passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012, following a period of declining health. Anna was born on Aug. 18, 1919 in Athens, a daughter of the late Jesse Earl and Nevah Robinson.
In her earlier years, Anna was employed with Sayre Lingerie and assisted her husband Clarence with the operation of the farm. She enjoyed cooking although her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by her family. Anna will be greatly missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, C. Kenneth and Ruth Crain and Keith L. and Karen Crain all of Bumpville; a sister, Ruby Robinson Durrand of Athens; over seventy grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Kellogg Crain, on July 3, 1985, her sons, Charles Richard Bennett and William Jesse Bennett, grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Bennett and Teresa Bennett Hrubes, a great grandson, Bruce Michael Hrubes, brothers Earl, Donald, Jesse and George Robinson; and a sister, Mabel Fassett.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Anna's life at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 29 at the Windham Summit Bible Church. A luncheon and time of sharing will follow the service. Interment and prayers of committal were held at the convenience of the family in the Bumpville Cemetery.
