Keith E. Ferguson, 61, of 131 Bressler St., Sayre passed away Sunday December 8, 2002 at the Robert Packer Hospital after a brave battle with cancer.
Born February 23, 1941 in Sayre, the son of Donald and Dorothy Mullen Ferguson, he graduated from Sayre High School in 1959. He served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in France for a total of three years. After the service, he attended school in Rochester, NY – R.B. I. And started work in the former Farmers National Bank in Athens. He retired two years ago as Vice President of Citizens & Northern Bank after 36 years of service. He was a Board of Directors member and treasurer of the Greater Valley emergency Medical Services for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Sayre-Athens Lions Club, founding member and past president of the Athens Township Fire Department, past president of the Valley United Way drive and a member of the F & AM #70 of Athens, PA.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda, at home, his children; Brian and Tina Ferguson of Sayre, and Michael Ferguson of Sayre; four grandchildren, Brian, Tara, Danielle and Morgan; his sister, Patricia Smiley of Rome, PA and his brothers, Thomas Ferguson and Edward Ferguson both of Sayre, PA also several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A brother, Kenneth Ferguson, predeceased him.
Family and friends may call at the Lowery Funeral Home, 225 South Main St., Athens, PA Wednesday from 6:00-9:00p.m. And Thursday from 1:00-2:00p.m.
Burial will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
Memorials be given in his name to the Greater Valley Emergency Medical Services, 904 North Lehigh Ave., Sayre, PA 18840 or to the Athens Township Fire Department, Herrick Ave., Sayre, PA 18840.
