Hit and Run Crash in Terry Township
A stone from an unknown, passing dump truck struck a red, Ford Explorer owned by Dena Chilson, 20, of Wyalusing while it was parked along State Route 2013 in Terry Township at approximately 4 p.m. on August 18th.

The stone shattered the rear window of the Explorer, police said.

Monroeton Man Arraigned For Simple Assault
Henry Bailey, 26, of Monroeton was arraigned before District Justice Michael Shaw after a verbal argument with his wife turned physical, police said.

The incident occurred along Main Street in Monroeton Borough at 2:20 p.m. on August 17th, police said.

Bailey was released on his own recognizance, police said.

Two Laceyville Residents Cited for Harassment
Two Laceyville residents were charged with harassment after an argument along State Route 6 in Wyalusing Borough at 6:20 p.m. on August 18th.

A witness called state police to report a man and woman fighting, police said.

Denise Strach, 42 and Eldon Salsman, 49 were both charged, police said.

No Injuries in Two-Vehicle Crash in Monroe Township
Two Towanda residents escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash along U.S. Route 220 near the intersection with State Route 414 in Monroe Township at approximately noon on August 19th.

Grace Norton, 95, was driving a Chevy Lumina south on Route 220 when she turned into the left front driver's side of a northbound Ford Taurus, driven by Ryan Bush, 17, police said.

Norton and Bush were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were not injured, police said.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage, police said.

The Memorial Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.

Teen Injured in Stevens Township Crash
Shannon McHenry, 17, of Wyalusing, received minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash along State Route 706 in Stevens Township at 9:45 a.m. on August 19th.

According to police, McHenry was driving a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse east on Route 706 when the vehicle hydroplaned. The car hit a guide rail, crossed over the roadway, struck a dirt embankment, crossed the roadway again and struck the guide rail.

McHenry was wearing her seatbelt. She was transported to the hospital via ambulance for minor injuries, police said.

The investigation into the crash is continuing, police said.

Attempted Break-In Foiled in Pike Township
Someone attempted to break into the farm house of Anthony Saggiomo of Newtown Square, Pa. at 9 a.m. on August 3rd.

Someone tried to force open the rear door on the home – located along Township Road 778 in Pike Township – when the security alarm activated. This possibly scared them off, police said.

Monroeton Man Arrested for DUI
At approximately 5:50 p.m. on August 3rd, police received information that a white Buick LeSabre was traveling south on U.S. Route 220 and was crossing back and forth across the road. When the police officer arrived, the car was parked at the Dandy Mini Mart in Monroeton.

The driver of the car, Robert McNally, 60, of Monroeton showed signs of impairment and was taken to the Towanda Memorial Hospital for testing, police said.

On August 9th, DUI and related charges were filed against McNally at the office of District Justice Timothy Clark, police said.

Sayre Man Cited for Damaging Vehicle, Satellite Dish and Mailbox
Scott A. Heeman, 33, of Sayre received two citations for criminal mischief after an incident that occurred along Cotton Hollow Road in Litchfield Township between 10 and 11 a.m. on August 12th.

According to police, Heeman damaged a vehicle and satellite dish belonging to Ralph Woodruff, 40 and the mailbox of Michael Hunsinger, 59, both with Sayre addresses.

Paint Scratched on Car in Terry Township
Someone scratched the paint on the passenger side of a vehicle belonging to Robert Hoover, 61, of Wyalusing when it was parked in a driveway along Paradise Road in Terry Township at some time between 10 p.m. on August 12th and 7 a.m. on August 13th, police said.

Gas Stolen From Dandy Mini Mart in Camptown
An unknown person stole $20 worth of gasoline from the Dandy Mini Mart located at state routes 706 and 409 in Wyalusing Township at 5:35 p.m. on August 11th.

An unknown driver stopped a silver Dodge pick up truck at pump number 2, pumped the gas into the truck and left without paying, police said.

Laceyville Man Arrested For Domestic Violence
John Folta, 61 of Laceyville was arrested at the Towanda Police station after an incident of domestic violence on Vandervort Road in Tuscarora Township at 3:30 p.m. on August 8th.

According to police, Folta struck Jacqueline Baruch, 55 of Laceyville about the face area. Baruch had a visible black eye and the right side of her face was bruised.

Folta was arraigned in front of District Justice Fred Wheaton and charged with simple assault and harassment. He was committed to the Bradford County Correctional Facility, police said.

Radio Stolen From Truck – And Then Returned
Someone took a radio from the inside of a truck belonging to Michael Vaughn, 24, of Wysox while it was parked in a parking area along Masonite Road in Wysox Township at some time between 8 p.m. on July 20th and 10:30 a.m. on July 23rd.

The radio was subsequently returned to the truck on July 31st, police said.
